The Wiseguys Say Goodnight….

After 15 years of presenting improv shows on a routine schedule, the Wiseguys are ending their regularly scheduled shows.

Our final scheduled show is April 15, 2017 at Cafe Eclectic Midtown. The show starts at 9:00, and will feature members of the Wiseguys – past and present. For this show, we will be passing the bucket, and all money raised will be donated to Mercy Corps, an international relief agency. This show’s format is going to be a little different. If there’s a game you want us to play, be prepared to let us know. We may just do it.

We are shutting down the show for a lot of reasons. Troupe members come and go, and it can be hard to maintain a two show a month schedule. And, let’s face it, 15 years is a long time to expect audiences to enthusiastically show up twice a month. We’ve lost track of how many shows we’ve done, but it’s in the hundreds.

But, this is not intended to be our final show of all time. Our plan is to do less frequent shows that are a bigger deal. We will keep you posted on those as they arise.

We want to thank Cafe Eclectic for being a great home for us for several years. They are a great group of people.  We want to thank our loved ones who have tolerated us taking time away from them to make people laugh. And, of course, we want to thank you, our audience. You have made this all possible and rewarding.

But, we don’t want to get maudlin here. While this is the end of our current chapter, we anticipate more to come.

And, for now, mark your calendars for April 15. It’s going to be a big, wild show with lots of special guests. Come out and celebrate with us.

This is a finale you can’t refuse.

This month the Wiseguys present our special Christmas show. The show Saturday, December 17 at 9:30 (NOTE OUR NEW LATE NIGHT TIME!) will be a tad on the naughty list, but hey, what’s a Christmas with a visit from Wiseguys. We may not have gold or frankincense, but we will bring mirth!

Come out and enjoy some hilarious improv comedy this Saturday at Cafe Eclectic, 603 N. Mclean. Showtime is 9:30 p.m. with The Wiseguys Present Storytellers Unplugged!

This kinda late night show is uncensored, and may not be suitable for all ages. Tickets are $5. This show features fast paced improv comedy, and scene based improv. It’s all hilarious, so there!

The Cafe does not serve alcohol, but people 21 and up are welcome to bring their own to the show with no corkage fee!

Cafe Eclectic is non-smoking.

We take cash and cards at the door! No figgy pudding required!

New Show Time!

Beginning immediately, our late night show is not so late. The Wiseguys uncensored improv comedy show that had been on the third Saturday of each month at 10:30 will shift to a 9:30 start.

That means every third Saturday, we will be performing our show at 9:30 p.m. at Cafe Eclectic in Midtown (603 N. McLean). It’s still only $5.

So, join us this Saturday, 11/19 for our first show at the new time. As always, Cafe Eclectic is BYOB, and will have a limited menu before the show for your enjoyment.

Come on out and enjoy all the goodness of the Wiseguys’ late night show….just not so late!

Pardon Our Mess!

Here’s the deal. We messed up our old website. It was pretty and had cool stuff on it, but Joe has absolutely no idea what he’s doing and he obliterated it.

So, we are trying to fix it.  So, it looks like this for now.
